Cricket@Singapore

Hi All.

Here I am completed a month here in Singapore.
Things are now getting in place. One thing about Singapore that I will like to share is Cricket.
Although I use to be a regular player in my college, I haven't played a game in India for almost 5 years and here I got a chance to play cricket in very first month, My office is having net practice every week end and we played a tournament last Saturday.
There are many cricket associations and leagues here in Singapore. You can join any one of them and get going with the passion you always had in you but would never get time in India.
There are lot of other activities you can enjoy e.g Badminton , swimming, TT which are there in every corner of a colony. They are cheap and most importantly you have time to enjoy it.
I am at least enjoying the way I am spending my free time here.

Keep following for more updates.

New to Singapore

Hi All
I am here in Singapore for 20 Days now , and want to share few experiences.

Its is a wonderfull city which might be half the size of Mumbai, where I come from. Infrastructure here is amazing , internal travel by MRT or bus is comfortable. But the phrase " nothing comes free in this world my friend" comes true to this city. Every small think here will be charged and you might not even be aware of the charges. e.g incoming calls on the mobile are charged. both incoming and outgoing charges are same.

I was surprised to know this when my balance drastically reduced by not making any calls.

Another surprise is international calls are cheaper to local call.

Even Pizza is not dilevered free , you need to pay $2 as dilevery charges.

So be carefull before ordering any thing or assigning for any service , make sure you are clear with all the hidden charges.

Thankfully there are lot of Indian restaurants here.

Although I am slowly settling in this city , I still feel Mumbai is much better in all the aspects.
